The Charisma Myth

The Charisma Myth: How Anyone Can Master the Art and Science of Personal Magnetism
The charisma myth is the idea that charisma is a fundamental, inborn quality—you either have it (Bill Clinton, Steve Jobs, Oprah) or you don’t. But that’s simply not true, as Olivia Fox Cabane reveals. Charismatic behaviors can be learned and perfected by anyone.
I wish I read this book when I was younger! I was quite the introvert way back when and Olivia's book would have helped. Reading it now reinforced a lot of things I've slowly learned over the years to become more charismatic and introduced a few new strategies I'm excited to try out.
BK Takeaways:
There are different charisma styles (Visionary charisma, kindness charisma, etc.)
Your subconscious affects your body language and your body language affects your charisma
Be fully present in your interactions
Show vulnerability
Stop worrying about things that haven’t happened
Focus on how you can help other people- not how they can help you
Today is going to be a good day, I have a feeling...
